Most of the images on this site are taken with a Nikon Coolpix P 500, a fantastic camera with reasonable optics and a folding screen, hassle free. He also used a Nikon D200 with fancy lenses, but rather impractical in use, and  Nikon Coolpix S 6600, for its size, which is small but not ergonomic. The photos shown here were not Photoshopped, though sometimes they were cropped.
